The Dutch Rabbit

The dutch rabbit is one of the oldest breds of rabbits. They are easily recognized by the band of white around the neck, white paws, and the white blaze on their face. There are six recognized dutch colors; Blue, Black, Chocolate, Tortoiseshell, Grey, and Steel.  The Dutch is a medium sized rabbit and weighs between three and a half and five and a half pounds. Friendly and social the dutch make great pets. Because of the unusual markings of the dutch, showing them can be a challenge. Yet for the dutch lover this is a challenge happily met. The difficulty comes because the dutch not only need to be well marked (markings) but have good type (body shape) as well.
